I’ve been making things since I was a little girl, starting with doll clothes when I was seven years old. I taught myself how to do macramé in the mid-70s and started doing art shows, selling everything from plant hangers to full-sized window treatments. It took a lot of cord, a ton of time, and even more patience, so I turned my efforts to needlepoint and cross stitch. I discovered glass, both stained and antique, and forgot everything else. My love of depression glass and stained glass merged and my glass windchimes were born. I started doing art shows with the windchimes and wholesaling them to antique and gift stores. My passion for glass hasn’t lagged and I’ve never since looked at a piece of china or glass without pondering its future use as a windchime. Along the way, I became a bit of a recycling fanatic and starting making jewelry with wine, beer and soda bottles, and later with recycled bamboo and wood tiles.
